Abstract

Alterations in mental health can cause deviations in the behavior of patients, who unconsciously can carry out criminal actions. However, for these criminal actions to be prosecuted or prosecuted, it is necessary for an expert, in this case a forensic psychiatrist, to carry out the respective expert actions to determine if the subject is imputable or not. This paper presents a documentary theoretical analysis on the main aspects of Forensic Psychiatry and the processes of expertise in patients with mental disorders due to drug addiction.
