Abstract

Currently organizations look for in their work teams a high performance considering that they are generators of great value to the Organization, as to complete the cycle: teamwork meet goals-good productivity, incomes are improved and the company's growth. Standard practices are still weaknesses of how to define, shape and measure a high performance team. Many organizations and leaders demand results and mostly without the proper tools and staff or team members with the skills and competencies required to achieve the goals, also plays an important role the leader as a guide rather than as decision maker, thus highlighting the importance of the consensus of the team for decision-making.  These article general theoretical aspects are explored for high performance teams applied to the workplace as sports demonstrating characteristics as well as the tactics and strategies that influence the work of high-performing teams.
