Abstract

The National Oncological Institute (NOI) Dr. Juan Demostenes Arosemena is an institution focused in the oncological treatments, which fundamental objetive is to supply an excellence, medical, familiar and social attention to all of panamenian people. t is the leading body in cancer research and treatment in the Republic of Panama. However, the provision of these services is expensive, and poses fundamental challenges for the institution, such as guaranteeing an excellent service for patients, complying with one of the basic premises of Economics as a social science: meeting the infinite needs of the population with limited resources.
