Abstract

This article presents an analysis of China's investment opportunities in some Latin American countries. Projects related to agriculture, infrastructure, generation of renewable energies and transportation technology that have been carried out in countries such as Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia are highlighted. In the light of this view, the possible opportunities for Panama are evident, after establishing diplomatic relationship through the signature 17 of agreements in 2017. Among the multiple benefits, the constructions of port infrastructures, light rail, photovoltaic plant and China will benefit with food products of primary origin by virtue of the lack of arable land and the accelerated population explosion that characterizes that country. Likewise, it should be considered that no project is given free of charge, so the costs and return of investment, and human capital inherent to each particular case must be analyzed.
