ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IN THE HATO MONTANA COMMUNITY IN ARRAIJAN

Abstract

The general objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of installing a Christian primary school in the Hato Montaña community of Arraiján, district of Arraiján, province of Panamá Oeste of the Republic of Panama, Central America. To achieve the general objective, the specific objectives were the elaboration of a market study to determine the possibilities of establishing a Christian primary school in Hato Montaña, Juan Demóstenes Arosemena corregimiento, to carry out a technical feasibility study, and an economic analysis with the purpose of establishing the determining economic aspects for the execution of the project, and finally evaluated the economic and financial feasibility of the development of the project through indicators such as the internal rate of return, net present value, repayment period, and the cost / benefit ratio. (Sapag and Sapag, 2006), Baca (2006). As a research hypothesis, it was proposed that the installation of a Christian primary school in the Hato Montaña de Arraiján community is feasible. In this study, a quantitative approach has been used since statistical, mathematical and economic calculations were carried out to determine the market viability and the financial aspect of the project. In the same way, the exploratory research was used to accumulate all the necessary information to describe the need or acceptance of the inhabitants of Hato Montaña about the services offered by the particular Christian primary school of the present study. The existing correlation between dependent and independent variables was taken into account in this research. The results indicate that from the economic point of view the project is feasible, therefore its execution is recommended.
