DETERMINING THE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES A GROUNDED THEORY

Abstract

The aim of the research was to generate a theoretical approach about the conditions of knowledge management developed at the universities of public administration of the Eastern Coast of Lake Maracaibo, using the methodology proposed by Glaser and Strauss (1967), for the construction theories within the dynamics of qualitative epistemological approach, called Theory. The variable was based with contributions from Canals (2013), Riesco (2016), among others. The research was projective, non-experimental design, transectional field. It was used as a technique for data collection, depth interviews and as an instrument, an interview guide as well as an array registration, applied to five (5) key informants, experts in the field, university professionals with experience in the practice of the functions of teaching, research and extension. The interpretation and analysis was performed through the process of coding the interviews, suggested by the methodical proposal Glases and Strauss (1967) and reinforced by Strauss and Corbin (2002), which proposes a categorization process through open coding , axial, selective and construction of a conditional array. A review of the various existing models of university to adapt to the particularities of the case to environment public universities COLM management was recommended.
