Abstract

Introduction: Open access repositories for Nursing Sciences in Panama play a strategic role in scientific research, internationalization and knowledge management in this important scientific area at the service of Panamanians. This is why scientific information and results must be integrated, taking into account that this modernization process in this area of knowledge has determined the implementation of new open science technologies to promote development, research culture and digital culture in the national territory, which provides open literature resources for researchers and co-researchers in Panama, Latin America and the world. The fundamental basis of this portal is the institutional repositories of Science, Technology and Innovation entities (Universities and Research Institutions). Objective: To collect and organize in one place all research papers, theses, articles, presentations and other materials produced by the adult health department, with the guidelines and policies of open science at a global level. Methodology: A systemic review of scientific articles is carried out, using a survey with a Likert scale for data collection, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the advancement of science in the field of adult health. Different databases were used to search for information: Sciencedirect, PubMed, LitMaps, Scispace. Results: The selection process yielded a total of 1,500 results and, using different filters, 5 articles were chosen, of which 2 were discarded due to their limited approach to the problem. The remaining 3 explore work strategies where caregivers are considered a key element for the development of proposals. Conclusion: The implementation of an open access repository is a process that requires planning and organization.
